Training Coordinator, West Virginia Wood Technology Center
Matt Wyatt is the Training Coordinator of the Randolph County Development Authority and West Virginia Wood Technology Center (WTC). The WTC is a unique, best practice training facility that offers programs and support services for the wood industry, as well as other industries.
Mr. Wyatt was recently awarded an Associate Safety and Health Management certification from the Institute of Safety and Health Management, and is currently pursuing a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification through the Board of Safety Professionals. He is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor through the West Virginia University National Resource Center, Certified HAZWOPER instructor through New Environment, Certified CPR/First Aid/ AED instructor with the American Red Cross, and a Defensive Driving Instructor through the National Safety Council. Mr. Wyatt obtained his A.A.S. in Business Technology from Pierpont Community and Technical College, his B.S. in Business Administration Management from Fairmont State University, and holds an MBA in Human Resources from Ashford University.
Mr. Wyatt began his career in the lumber industry at Mongold Lumber Company of Dailey, WV. While there he became a certified Moulder and Grinding Technician through Michael Weinig Institute of Statesville, NC. After 12 years with Mongold Lumber he accepted a position as the Quality Assurance Manager for Colonial Millwork, Ltd of Beverly, WV. Prior to accepting the position with the RCDA/WTC, he held the position of Plant Manager for Wilson Quality Millwork, Inc. of Elkins, WV.
